Note the numElements and the conditions for creating fighters.
Each period probably has a certain number of elements, which is adjusted in the mapping and set in the constructor. The problem is that only 0 generation was set (in the constructor), any other generation would return the default mapping value of 0. Thus, players would not be able to further create their characters.
